Is WellifyCare a primary care clinic?

No. We are a specialty clinic focused on cardiometabolic health. You keep your primary care physician, and we coordinate with them closely. If you don't have one, we can help you find one.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes — many visits and services are insurance-based, and we verify your benefits before your first appointment. Our assessment and membership programs are offered at transparent flat rates. We will always tell you plainly which path fits your situation.

Can you prescribe GLP-1 medications like semaglutide or tirzepatide by telehealth?

Yes. GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonists are not controlled substances, and they can be prescribed via telehealth in compliance with state and federal law. We prescribe only FDA-approved medications — never compounded versions. Compounded GLP-1 products are not FDA-approved, have not undergone the same safety and efficacy testing, and the FDA has issued multiple safety alerts about them. Our value is the full program around the prescription: candidacy evaluation, dose strategy, side-effect management, nutrition and muscle preservation, and a real maintenance plan.

Are there any medications you cannot prescribe by telehealth?

A small number of obesity medications contain controlled substances (such as phentermine). Federal DEA regulations may require an in-person evaluation before these can be prescribed via telehealth. We comply with all applicable federal and state prescribing laws and will always explain what is required before your visit.

I've tried everything for my weight. How is this different?

Obesity is a hormonal, biological disease — and most of what you've tried treated it as a willpower problem. We treat the biology and engineer the behavior change while rebuilding your confidence. That combination is why medical obesity treatment succeeds where diets fail.

Is WellifyCare religious? Do I have to share the founder's faith?

Our founder's Christian faith inspires the clinic's culture of care. But WellifyCare exists to serve everyone. Patients of every faith and no faith receive the same wholehearted medicine, with their own values fully respected.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Many visits — including follow-ups, medication management, nutrition counseling, CGM review, and care plan adjustments — can be completed by secure video from home. Some services, like body composition analysis, require an in-person visit at our Greenfield, Wisconsin center.

Can I be seen by telehealth if I live outside Wisconsin?

We are expanding telehealth to additional states through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Physicians must hold an active medical license in the state where the patient is located at the time of the visit — a legal requirement in all states. If you live outside Wisconsin, join the waitlist and tell us your state — you will be among the first to know when we can see you.

When can I be seen?

We open in October 2026. Joining the waitlist secures priority scheduling and founding-patient benefits — and starts your education immediately with our free resources.

Will you replace my cardiologist, endocrinologist, or nephrologist?

Not necessarily — we complement specialty care by coordinating the metabolic root causes. When organ-specific care is needed, we work alongside those colleagues as one team.

What ages do you treat?

Adults. For children and adolescents, we're glad to point families toward appropriate pediatric resources.

Do you sell supplements?

No. Where specific supplementation is evidence-based for your situation, we'll recommend it — and tell you where to buy it cheaply.
